Berkshire Hockey Foundation
Hockey has the power to bring people together and open doors that might otherwise have stay closed.
Alex Regen is the Founder and President of the Berkshire Hockey Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to youth hockey, skating, and community recreation throughout Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
Alex also created the Berkshire Pond Hockey Classic, an annual outdoor pond hockey tournament held at Benedict Pond in Beartown State Forest, Monterey, MA. The event has grown into a beloved community tradition that raises funds for the Foundation's programs and celebrates the spirit of outdoor hockey.
The originator and driving force behind the new Wahconah Park ice rink in Pittsfield, MA, Alex secured $260,000 in funding to bring a public skating facility to the heart of Berkshire County, giving thousands of kids and families across the region access to free public ice for the first time.
Beyond his work with the Foundation, Alex is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Kippy's Superfoods, and guest lecturer at Columbia University.
